Challenge

Around 250 million people have non-standard speech, which makes everyday communication hard. Google built Project Relate, an app trained on more than a million speech samples. Our task was to show its real impact.

Approach

Working with Google in India and Singapore, we filmed real users. Chandani and Allan show how the app's Listen, Assistant and Repeat features help them communicate with far less friction.

Results

The films reached audiences around the world and sparked strong support for Project Relate's mission: helping people with non-standard speech be understood, and making speech-driven products more accessible.
